Lexi A-Line Dress

A review of Named Lexi A-line Dress

This A-line dress is easy to put together. It features two pleats in the front skirt, a darted bodice and set in sleeves. There’s also an option to make a cropped swing blouse with wide sleeves.
I’ve made the dress in a double knit jersey which worked reasonably well. Named recommend a mid weight drapey fabric such as a crepe which I studiously ignored when I chose my fabric…
The dress hangs away from the body leaving no fit issues except for the light of the dress – which was longer than anticipated, both the hem length and waist seam. I ended up taking both up by about 1 1/2 inches.
Apart from that slight fit issue its a nice, simple, somewhat slouchy, dress. It would be great for beginners worried about fitting clothes close to the body!
