Lamma Sweatshirt

A review of Itch to Stitch Lamma Hoodie and Sweatshirt

I bought this pattern as soon as it was released.  I have made a lot of hoodies and sweatshirts this winter, and while they are lovely comfy garments, this pattern appealed to me as it had a bit more shape than your standard boxy sweatshirt, due to the princess seams.  It also had a lot of options for colour blocking, and full bust option.  The only concern I had was the neckline as whether you opt for the hood or cowl neck version, there is a lot of fabric at the neck and I dislike fabric around my neck.  So I opted to draft a neckband for it instead, and I think it worked out really well.

The pattern instructions are very clear, and the pockets in this garment are lovely, built into the princess seam lines rather than the standard hoodie kangaroo pocket.  This was my first time using an Itch to Stitch pattern but I wouldn’t hesitate to make another, and I shall definitely be making more of these sweatshirts too.
