Joan Trousers

As a novice trouser maker I was recommended to try The Joan Trousers as a good starting point.  The advice proved sound as the elastic in the waist makes them easy to fit and the stretch fabric is also very forgiving. There is also no zip to content with.

A really well designed pattern with clear easy to follow instructions. When choosing your size go by your hip measurement. The pattern is designed for taller people than I but I really liked them full length so decided to leave them and think they work well as wide leg trousers.

I used a ponte roma but think they would work equally well in a stretch cord or sateen. They are very comfortable and easy to wear.
