IT HAS POCKETS!

I’ve made two versions of this dress now – both in crepe – and receive loads of compliments every time I wear them, from sewists and non-sewing folk alike!
The shape is really chic and I think it benefits from a drapey fine fabric to show that off and avoid looking a bit like a Christmas tree. Obviously the crowning glory of this pattern is the pockets, and the construction of them is really interesting: it’s a bit of a head scratcher at first but totally satisfying when done.
The front hem comes up pretty short so bear this in mind if you’re tall – I ended up adding some length to this version.
