This is such a clever pattern, and I really enjoyed sewing it. I especially love that it’s just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside.
The instructions don’t really do any hand-holding, which was an enjoyable challenge for a “confident beginner”, though I was stumped for quite a while over the facings. Having said that, I figured it all out and completed the shirt within a day, with no unpicking!
I am short waisted, so took my usual 5cm off the length, and found that I also needed to shorten the back hem facing. I used a beautiful linen from Sew Me Sunshine, and buttons from Pigeon Wishes.
I’ll definitely be making more of these! I can’t wait to try the gathered sleeve hack.
