I think I’ve found The One!

Finally, the search for THE t-shirt pattern is over! This one fits PERFECTLY. The shoulder seams sit in exactly the right place, it has the perfect amount of shaping around the waist (while still being loose and comfy) and the hem is just the right amount of curved!

Tonnes of great versions too, if that’s your bag. Personally, I’m all about that short-sleeved crew neck!

Edited to add: I’ve now made six versions of this t-shirt (all short sleeved crew necks) and it continues to be my favourite t-shirt pattern. You can see my other five versions here.

The only changes I have made are to remove approx 2 inches from the lengthen/shorten line (I’ve tinkered with this over time so can’t be sure on the exact amount) and I calculate the neckband length based on the stretch percentage of the fabric every time, rather than using the pattern piece. I’ve also made a few versions with ringer-style sleeve cuffs, which I really like.
