Holly dress

Just made the Fibremood Holly dress and I love it!   (it’s in issue 6)

I would call myself an intermediate dressmaker and this dress came together quite easy. The gathering took me a while, but that was mainly because the satin was very slippery and I wanted it to be really neat 🙂

The sizing was right ( I made an XL) no adjustments needed.  Just one note; don’t forget to include seam allowence when you cut out your fabric.

The dress is very comfortable, after dinner you just tie it a bit looser, ideal for Christmas in my book. Dress up with high heeled boots or every day with sneakers.

I made this dress in a satin fabric from Spoonflower that is my own design. I would suggest using fabric with a nice flow to it.

My make was chosen top 20 in the #winjanome contest by Fibremood!    So happy!!
