Great silhouette

I made the trouser version of this pattern using a bark weave denim (with just a little stretch) from Fabric Godmother. This is the first time I’ve made trousers and I’m absolutely delighted with them!

I found the  videos by Alexander Morgan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=plae8_xAGfM&list=PLWvNxSS04DxCU_5mNg-Ex4p3L_fEmuYaD&index=1 on how to fit trousers (or pants as she calls them) really helpful. I altered the pattern following her instructions and made a couple of toiles to get the fit just right. So pleased that I took the time to do this, the trousers fit beautifully, are really comfortable to wear  and so flattering. Normally I don’t think I suit trousers, but the wide legs balance out my wide hips and the high waist skims nicely over my rather full tummy.

I’ve already ordered some more fabric in a dark olive cotton so that I can make another pair for a summer work outfit.
