Great fitting pants

A review of Thread Theory Morden Work Pants

Against pattern advice, I made View B from a stretch twill I had in my stash as a fit test. The pattern is beautifully cut, and the instructions easy to follow (the problems I had with the fly fastening due to a combination of the stretch fabric, poor choice of zip and plain bad workmanship!). I’m 5’ 4” with a 38” hip, and made the size 6 without any pattern adjustments. The fit is great at waist and hip, and I’m delighted with the crotch length. Had to take 2” off the leg length before hemming. The pattern says to maybe make a smaller size if using stretch fabric, and this pair could certainly work a wee bit smaller. But for the ‘proper’ non-stretch denims I’m about to make, all I will do is shorten the trouser leg by 2” but otherwise use the size 6 as is. Such a great pattern, and my next version will have all the bells and whistles from version A.
