Great basic jumper

Reviewed by PatsyPoo on 15th December, 2019

This a great basic piece to have in my wardrobe. It’s the perfect length for most of my skirts and all my high-waisted trousers. It was very speedy to make: less than 2 hours including putting the PDF together and cutting.

The fabric I used was quite bulky and I’m glad I was able to sew the whole thing on my overlocker. I made the size S and the only modification I made was to add a cuff to the sleeves. The sleeves are very tight on the forearms though and my wrists are very small. I will need to adjust that next time because I can’t even have my watch on while putting this jumper on. On the plus side, the fabric I used is double layered so it’s incredibly warm. Anything more than a tank top underneath and I’d be far too hot anyway.

I can’t comment too much on the instructions because I didn’t really look at them. It’s a very basic pattern, great for beginners and the construction is similar to most knit tops I’ve come across in the past. All in all, I highly recommend it and I will be making more versions of it.
