Gorgeous dress (but complicated!)

I picked up this pattern as a confident beginner, but found it so difficult to follow. I completely, entirely fluffed the button band as the instructions aren’t very explicit and there’s a lot left for the maker to assume or guess (which if you’re more experienced I’m sure would be totally fine!). I’ll definitely try the same pattern again to see if I do better, as I love the look of the finished dress. But compared to Papercut patterns, for example, this was much harder to follow than I expected.
