Fancy PJs with some skill required

The Carolyn pyjamas are a wonderfully elegant pair of pyjamas, with tons of detailing and features. I made the shorts and short-sleeved shirt with piping. I’m not a massive sleepwear fan, but these are sized perfectly, with a great balance between comfort and attractive fit.

I made the 18 and the top fits great, with a lovely level of ease. The shorts are too low-rise for me and I would raise the rise by a couple of inches next time, but this is a pretty normal adjustment for me.

The only reason I gave the Carolyns 4 instead of 5 stars is that I found the collar and lapel construction rather tricky and thought the instructions needed to be beefed up a bit. I used the website tutorial at Closet Core Patterns, which helped, but still needed to look up other resources.
