Eyes on the Rise
A review of Pio Pants
I really like Ready to Sew patterns and was excited to see their Pio pants. To me they looked a great combination of side pockets, front seam, full elastic waist and patch back pockets.
I used a navy tencel twill from Patterns and Plains but think the Pio may be better in a fabric with more structure such as a linen, lightweight denim or cotton twill. As the fabric is so lightweight the central seam does waiver.
Once constructed the rise was too high for me so I removed about 2 inches and then was very happy with the fit (for reference I am 36-30-40.5)
All in all these were a really fun sew for my early foray into trouser making and I would make them again!
