After re-watching the new Little Women film, I decided to commit to a cape. I love it!
I was attracted to this pattern because of the funnel neck, which provides additional warmth.
I chose to line my cape as the wool is quite scratchy. I’ve put details of this on my blog. The pattern recommends boiled/felted wool, which wouldn’t need lining if you want an easier make.
I cut my pieces on the flat, which took longer but was worth it for straight lines and pattern matching at the neck/cape meeting point.
The welt pockets are actually quite small. I think it’s because bigger pockets would dangle down past the bottom of the cape, so it makes sense and I can fit my hands in.
