Easy sew, easy wear!

Nicely shaped elastic trousers – wide leg without being excessively voluminous, and not a lot of bunching at the waist. Mine are made in linen. Adjustments for next time: I’d increase the rise on the front and back by 1-2cm as the elastic likes to ride up towards my waist instead of sitting just below (belly button level). And add an extra 1cm of ease on either side at the hip for a little more comfort when sitting.

I like all my trousers to have pockets and it’s easy enough to add front slash pockets yourself. (IG TV link here with a tutorial). Also to make it a little easier to insert the elastic, I would increase the height of the waistband by 1cm then stitch down the elastic at the side seams to make sure it doesn’t shift around.
