After months of planning I finally got round to making the Megan Nielsen Dawn Jeans! This pattern did not disappoint, the pattern drafting is amazing and instructions clear. I decided to make my first pair of Dawn jeans out of a grey corduroy fabric which worked perfectly.
The main change that I made to the pattern was to swap out the button fly for a zip fly as I find this much more practical and comfortable. It was a really simple change, I followed the Ash Jeans fly construction tutorial on the Megan Nielsen blog. I love the details such as the coin pocket and opportunity for contrast pocket bags, I’m also looking forward to trying out some of the other views
