A review of Itch to Stitch Anza Jumpsuit and Dress

Reviewed by thefairstitch on 6th April, 2019

I made the dress version of this pattern, in straight size 8 for B cup – I am 37-31-39. I love the fact that the pattern offers different cup sizes – eliminating the additional SBA/FBA alteration. I shortened my skirt by 2.5″ and I omitted the breast pockets and drawstring/waist tie. My fabric is viscose-line blend, and I think is perfect for this pattern, it’s got plenty of drape but is not too slippy to sew. This project was very enjoyable and relatively easy, the only tricky bits are when attaching the cuffs to the bodice, and sewing the elastic casing.
All in all, I think this is an amazing pattern, I am looking forward to finishing my jumpsuit version.

Update:
So I’ve now made both versions (the dress and jumpsuit) and I love them both. For the jumpsuit, I didn’t change anything in the bodice as the fit was already good, but I did add the breast pockets (handy for stashing train tickets!). I decided to go with wider elastic for the waist as the 6mm one on the dress was way too fiddly, for the jumpsuit I used 20mm elastic, so yeah I did widen the casing pattern piece a bit. I also omitted the elasticized hems and waist tie, and I love it. More details can be found here: https://thefairstitch.com/2019/04/29/anza-jumpsuit-itch-to-stitch-pattern-review-part-2/
