An elevated basic

A review of The Assembly Line High Cuff Sweater

Are you looking for comfortable at-home wear which doesn’t look like you are still in your pyjamas? If so then this pattern is for you!

A dropped shoulder sweater pattern designed for woven fabrics or stable knits. It has an extended back bottom ribbing, which lifts it out of ‘boring basics’ pattern and into something a little different and means it can be dressed up more easily, particularly with a thoughtful choice of fabric.

It is a relaxed fit sizing-wise. I was between sizes (for some reason some bust measurements fall between size ranges). I sized up as I was intentionally going for an oversized look, but the sizing is generous anyway and I know I will happily make the size down too.

It is a straightforward make, the sleeves are inserted flat, so no faff there. The pattern pieces for the bottom ribbing to shirt have lots of matching marks, making the process of attaching the curved ribbing very straightforward.
