All about the sleeves

A review of Anna Allen Anthea Blouse and Dress

Reviewed by Veronica Irons on 26th February, 2022

I’ve been eyeing off all the lovely makes of this pattern on Instagram and bought a printed version from The Fold Line which was delivered promptly after ordering.

I loved making this shirt, which is rare as I’m not always a fan of shirt making but the instructions were really clear and straightforward which helped and it came together quite quickly.

The sleeves are the hero here and the primary colour floral cotton I’ve used is stiff enough to help them hold their shape.

The shirt sits well even without being tucked in, which is how I prefer to wear shirts.

I will definitely make this pattern again and would like to hack it into a tiered dress next time.
