Agnes

The Agnes top is a great way for beginners to start sewing with jersey. It’s simple and easy to put together. It’s also comes with plenty of options for those who don’t want to make the same top twice! You can chose between 2 different sleeve lengths, rucheing on the sleeves and rucheing on the neckline – plenty of variation to be had!
I opted to make the plain neck, short sleeved version here, in a pineapple printed cotton jersey.
I’ve made a size 4, grading out to a size 5 at the hip. It’s probably not as fitted as the pattern intended but my jersey wasn’t particularly stretchy so I was compensating for that.
Construction is simple enough! I think an experienced sewist make make an hour or so to make one or a couple of hours for a newbie!
