A great skill builder

The Ness is a great introduction to the techniques needed in jean making and to featured topstitching.

Based on the finished Garment measurements, I made a size 8 (the largest) at the waist grading to an 18 at the hip. TATB patterns are a little too pear shaped for me, and I could have trimmed a lot more off.

The most difficult part of the construction was matching the waistband up to the right parts – the piece is ever so slightly longer on the buttonhole side, but it is very hard to say which is which when laid flat. That said, the instructions for the fly were excellent, with the video tutorial proving extremely useful.
