Buy the Baby/Child Wild and Free Dungarees sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. These casual, harem-style dungarees have options for wide straps, narrow straps, button front, button back, tie back, tie front, patch pockets or in-seam pockets. There is also an optional snap crotch. These dungarees are suitable for children in cloth nappies.

Suggested fabrics: Lightweight woven fabrics. Fabrics with good drape are best. Cotton lawn, rayon and double gauze are all good choices. Slightly heavier fabrics such as quilting cottons, light denim, light corduroy or light wool blends will create a slightly more rigid shape, but can work well. Stable knits can also be used.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55") wide fabric: Short, 50 - 170 cm (5/8 - 1 7/8 yd) // Long, 60 - 240 cm (5/8 - 2 5/8 yd).

The fabric requirements are based on directional fabric. If your fabric is non-directional, you may need a little less. If you need to pattern match, you will need more.

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: A small amount of light/medium fusible interfacing; a maximum of 30 cm (12") of 25 mm (1") elastic for up to age 1, 32 mm (1 1/4") elastic for ages 2 - 7, or 38 mm (1 1/2") elastic for ages 8 and above // Elastic cuffs: A maximum of 22 cm (8 3/4") of 20 mm (3/4") elastic for up to age 1, or a maximum of 33 cm (13") of 25 mm (1") elastic for ages 2 and above // Snap crotch: Snaps.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/legal/letter print-at-home pattern (28 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets); projector pattern. This pattern has layers so you can print just the sizes(s) you need.
