Buy the Banksia Box Top sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. Banksia is the perfect blend of simple and stylish. With its boxy silhouette and clean lines, it’s a quick, satisfying sew that delivers maximum impact with minimal fuss.

Choose regular sleeves for a simple everyday look, or go bold with gorgeous balloon sleeves for a bit of drama! The pattern also includes three neckline options: a no-opening finish, a delicate button back, or a pretty tie back. The neckline and balloon sleeves are finished neatly with bias binding. The top is designed to fall around the high hip.

A separate pattern piece is included for those who require a full bust adjustment.

Suggested fabrics: Light/medium weight woven fabric with some structure. Good options include cotton poplin and linen.

Fabric requirements: The yardage is calculated for directional fabric. If your fabric does not have a directional print you may need a little less.

140 cm (55") wide fabric: Regular sleeve top, 100 - 200 cm (1 1/8 - 2 1/4 yd) // Balloon sleeve top, 120 - 260 cm (1 3/8 - 2 7/8 yd).

Sizing: XXS – 7XL (approx. UK 6 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart.

Notions: 25 mm (1") single fold bias tape // Button option: less than 7.5 cm (3") of thin cord/ribbon; small button.
