Waves & Wild Baby/Child Field Trip Joggers

Buy the Baby/Child Field Trip Joggers sewing pattern from Waves & Wild. These relaxed fit joggers have the best pockets: hip pockets and two styles of patch pocket with an optional pocket flap. There is also the option to colour block the back to coordinate with the hip pockets. The Field Trip Joggers have an elasticated waist with an optional real or faux drawstring.

This pattern is also available for tweens and teens in two versions, one with a female/curvy fit and the other with a male/straight fit.

Suggested fabrics: 

Main: Medium weight, 2- or 4-way stretch knit fabric, such as cotton/Lycra french terry, sweatshirt fleece, etc. 10-50% horizontal stretch is ideal. Cotton/Lycra jersey can also be used but the fit will be more relaxed.

Leg cuffs: Cotton/Lycra ribbing.

Fabric requirements: 140 cm (55″) wide fabric: Main, 40 - 100 cm (3/8 - 1 1/8 yd) // Ribbing, 10 - 15 cm (4" - 6").

Sizing: Preemie/small newborn – 12 years. Please check the size chart.

Notions: Elastic, 25 mm (1") wide for up to 0-3 months; 38 mm (1 1/2") wide for 3-6 months to 2 years; 50 mm (2") wide for 3 to 12 years // Optional: max. 40 cm (17") of 6 mm (1/4") clear elastic to reinforce hip pockets; scrap of interfacing (for drawstring, snaps or pleated patch pockets); 2 snaps; max. 100 cm (1 1/8 yd) of drawstring cord (max. 30 cm/12" for faux drawstring).
