Vogue Vintage Dress V1172

Buy the V1172 vintage dress sewing pattern from Vogue® Patterns. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner/intermediate dressmaker. An original 1957 design, this below mid-calf length, sleeveless dress has a close-fitting V-neck bodice with princess seams and extended shoulders, flared skirt with godets, side zipper, and inside belt. Self-fabric or purchased belt. Purchased petticoat.

Suggested fabrics: Dress A: Lace // Dress B: Peau de soie, shantung, broadcloth // Belt interfacing A, B: Hair canvas.

Note: Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Use nap yardages/layouts for pile, shaded or one-way design fabrics. Allow extra fabric to match plaids or stripes.

Sizing: AA (6-8-10-12), EE (14-16-18-20), approx. UK sizes AA (4/6 – 8), EE (10 – 16). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 12" zipper, one 3/4" buckle with prong, 1 1/4 yds. of 5/8" grosgrain, hooks and eyes, three pkgs. of 1/2" seam binding, two 1/4" snaps.
