Buy the V1493 jacket sewing pattern from Vogue® Patterns. It's perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. This very loose-fitting unlined jacket has band, side-front seams and pockets, side slits, stitched hems, self-lined tulip sleeves, and continuous bias binding for trim and finishing seams. Optional purchased applique.
Suggested fabrics: Linen, crepe, gabardine, wool flannel // Contrast: Shantung, charmeuse, taffeta.
Note: Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Fabric requirement allows for nap, one-way design or shading. Extra fabric may be needed to match design or for shrinkage.
Sizing: Y (XS-S-M), ZZ (L-XL-XXL), approx. UK sizes Y (4 – 10), ZZ (12 – 24). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Lightweight floral fabric for applique (optional).

I’m so faaaaaan of this jacket ! I like everything: the fabric, the cut, the sleeves and even without the sleeves (seen during the intermediate tries) it falls superbly. I love it.
Its only flaw, I can’t wear it more than 2 hours before I stain it. I’m cursed with white. But it doesn’t matter!
The instructions are OK if you except the pockets instructions.
