Smart and relatively easy

First I must confess I am a bit slapdash in my dressmaking. I sometimes don’t press between sewing or mark pattern pieces very accurately. I learnt to my cost when making the toile for this jacket that both are essential. I had to redo the collar 4 times! To be fair the fabric of the toile is the same on both sides. For this jacket I used a leopard print scuba fabric from Fabric Godmother and it was very easy to sew up. The hardest and longest part of this project was the cutting out . It requires main fabric, lining fabric and interfacing and there are numerous pieces. However once cut out( and markings transferred!) it was a relatively easy make. It requires some ease along the front facing and collar. I think because of this I would say it is for an experienced sewer. However I love it and I’m sure I will get a lot of wear out of it.
