Buy the V9029 blouse sewing pattern from Vogue® Patterns. It's perfect for an intermediate dressmaker. This fitted blouse has princess seams, front button bands, sleeves with continuous lap, pleats, button cuffs and French seams. Narrow hem. Sleeve ruffles A, B and flounces D: Very narrow hem, wrong side shows. A, B, C and D: Collar and collar band. E and F: Bias collar extends into tie ends.
Suggested fabrics: Crepe de chine, challis, georgette, charmeuse.
Note: Unsuitable for obvious diagonals. Fabric requirement allows for nap, one-way design or shading. Extra fabric may be needed to match design or for shrinkage.
Sizing: B5 (8-10-12-14-16), F5 (16-18-20-22-24), approx. UK sizes B5 (6 – 12), F5 (12 – 20/22). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

I used this pattern to make a copy of an Alexa Chung blouse I'd fallen in love with (but wasn't prepared to pay £245 for).
The pattern has some really nice details, such as french seams, and a variety of different cuff and collar options.
I found the fit true to size (often Vogue patterns swamp me if I go for the size my body measurements suggest - My bust is 32" and I cut a size 10) although the sleeves were a little long.
I modified the pattern substantially to achieve the look I was going for but I will definitely sew it again in the future.
