Buy the Janet Blazer sewing pattern from Vikisews. Janet is an oversized, fully lined blazer with a straight cut. It features a centre back seam and an extended shoulder line. The bust darts are transferred to the flap welt pockets on the front. There is a welt chest pocket on the left front. The long set-in sleeves are made up of two pieces. The blazer has a turned-down, notched collar with a separate collar stand. Janet fastens with buttons and buttonholes at the centre front and is below-hip length.

For the lining, choose lining fabrics made of artificial fibres (viscose), blends (viscose + elastane, viscose + polyester), or synthetics (polyester, polyester + elastane).
The blazer in the photos is made of suiting fabric. The fabric is medium weight, pliable, soft, structured and non-stretch. The fibre content is a blend of polyester and viscose, and the fabric weight is 410 g/m2. The lining is 100% viscose, and the fabric weight is 50 g/m2.
Fabric requirements: When purchasing fabric, buy 5% more than required to account for shrinkage.
Main: 140 cm (55") wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 1.75 - 2.05 m (1 7/8 - 2 1/4 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric, with a directional print/nap: 1.7 - 1.95 m (1 7/8 - 2 1/8 yd).
Lining: 140 cm (55") wide fabric, with a directional print: 1.4 - 1.6 m (1 1/2 - 1 3/4 yd).
Sizing: 34 – 52 (approx. UK 6 – 20, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements. Note the PAPER pattern includes height 2 only (even though additional heights appear on the charts).
This pattern is designed for a B/C cup and 5’4″–5’6″ height.
Model Sofia: Bust 84 cm (33 1/8") / Waist 64 cm (25 1/4") / Hips 90 cm (35 3/8"). Sofia is wearing size 36.
