Tilly and the Buttons Miette Skirt

Buy the Miette Skirt sewing pattern from Tilly and the Buttons. Miette is a gently flared wraparound skirt that ties at the front in a bow. The skirt has a wide overlap at the back (no danger of flashing!) and optional patch pockets. This is the perfect first dressmaking project for new stitchers - simple to sew with no fiddly zips or buttonholes and easy to fit!

Suggested fabrics: Medium weight denim, linen or cotton. Nothing too thick or heavy as you need to be able to slide the waist tie through an opening in the side seam.

Fabric requirements: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: 2 - 2.7 m (2 1/4 - 3 yd) // 115 cm (45″) wide fabric: 3 m (3 1/4 yd).

Sizing: UK 6 – 20. Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Iron-on interfacing, about 30 cm (12") (similar weight to your fabric) // Optional: contrast thread for topstitching.
