Buy the Sierra Tiered Bias Skirt sewing pattern from The Pattern Cutters. The bias cut of this skirt gives it its flared and floaty shape. A timeless piece that can come out of the wardrobe every summer. The flat elasticated waist makes it so easy and comfortable to wear.
Note: For the frayed edge finish in the images, overlap the seam allowances by 2 cm, sewing together in the middle with two rows of straight stitching and leaving the edges raw. Once washed you can trim off any excess frayed threads and it shouldn’t fray anymore. But if frayed edges aren’t your thing and you’d prefer a neater finish, just sew and finish like you would a normal seam. You can get two completely different looks from the same pattern!
