The Pattern Cutters Mason Jogger Trouser

Buy the Mason Jogger Trouser sewing pattern from The Pattern Cutters. Mason has a nice slender fit with a soft gather on the elasticated waist. High waisted, but not too high. Add the mock drawstring to the waist or make it without. You can also shorten Mason to a cropped trouser or short - all the lengths are indicated on the pattern so you can choose which one you’d like.

Make Mason in a bold print for the springtime, cool linen for hot summer days, soft jersey for a nice comfy leisure pant, or fleece to keep cosy and warm in the winter. You can also make Mason in a lightweight suiting fabric for a nice work trouser. Layer a blouse over it, tucked in or left out, and you will look very smart.

Suggested fabrics: Drapey lightweight fabrics that won’t bunch when gathered at the waist. Polyester, viscose, silk, linen or lightweight suiting can be used. Suitable for jersey/knitted or woven fabrics. You can use one way prints, but buy extra fabric and lay the pattern pieces in one direction.

Fabric requirements: 

Trouser: 112 cm (44") wide fabric: 2.4 - 2.8 m (2.7 - 3.1 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 1.5 - 2.1 m (1.7 - 2.3 yd).

Cropped trouser: 112 cm (44") wide fabric: 1.8 - 2.4 m (2 - 2.7 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 1.2 - 1.8 m (1.4 - 2 yd).

Short: 112 cm (44") wide fabric: 0.9 - 1.5 m (1 - 1.7 yd) // 150 cm (59") wide fabric: 0.7 - 1.5 m (0.8 - 1.7 yd).

Sizing: UK 8 – 24. Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Elastic for the waist, 5 cm wide (not too firm); 6 mm cord for the front, 50 cm long; 2 x 10 mm eyelets (or buttonholes will do).
