Linen jacket

As with many Maker’s Atelier patterns, this is a stylish classic jacket. Loved the simple lines yet extra detail of this jacket. It’s a smart casual design. I wear it for work.
Was quite straight forward to make, although I did a burrito on the yoke.
I lined the yoke with contrast fabric but hadn’t realised some of it would show   Actually it looks ok. Some would say a deliberate detail! I love that the yoke is on the bias as it curves over the shoulder nicely.  As it is on the bias it uses more fabric than a simpler jacket .
I sized down as I wanted less ease.
I love the long cuff , I think it adds style.  I didn’t add front fasteners in the end nor did I add the strap and buckle at the back. I may add to next one as I love both those details. The pockets that are hidden in the bottom band are genius. I’ve used that feature on another jacket since.
This one is in a very loose weave linen which is great in the summer.
It would be good in denim or boiled wool too.
