Buy the S3052 Bags sewing pattern from Simplicity. It’s perfect for an advanced beginner dressmaker. Tailored bags made easy, each using one main pattern piece. Dainty Purses A and B have built-in flaps with magnetic snap closures and ribbon loops for purchased adjustable chain or clip-on handles. Satchel C and Tote Bag D have zip closures and can be made with purchased webbing handles or contrast fabric handles with matching outer pocket and zipper tab. All bags are lined using the same main pattern piece and have inner pocket for smaller items. See envelope for more information.

Suggested fabrics: Canvas, Corduroy, Cotton Types, Duck, Gabardine, Linen Types, Tweed, Twill, Wool Types. Not suitable for one-way directional fabrics. Lining: Cotton Types, Jacquard, Satin. Interfacing: Medium weight Fusible. Interlining: Headliner Utility Fabric. 

Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way design fabrics or shrinkage.

Sizing: OS (ONE SIZE). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Thread. A,B: One 8" x 2" (20cm x 5cm) piece of carboard or stiff canvas, one sew-in magnetic snap. Also for A: 6" (15cm) length of 1 1/4" (3.2cm) grosgrain ribbon, 1 3/4 yds. (1.6m) of 1/8" - 1/4" (6mm - 10mm) chain (or length of your choice), one 1" (2.5cm) decorative button. Also for B: 7" (18cm) length of 5/8" (1.5cm) grosgrain ribbon or leather band trim, one 10" (25cm) handle with hook clasps. C: 2 1/2 yds. (2.3m) of 1" (2.5cm) webbing, one 18" (46cm) heavy duty zipper (adjust to fit), one 14" x 5" (36cm x 13cm) piece of cardboard or stiff canvas. D: One 18" (46cm) heavy duty zipper, one 16" x 5" (41cm x 13cm) piece of cardboard or stiff canvas.
