Helena Dress

As soon as I saw this pattern I knew I had to make it, cute pin tucks, sleeves (sleeves!!), relaxed but not sloppy fit, perfect for my favorite fabric, linen. This is a really good pattern, the instructions are excellent (Jules is a sewing teacher and it shows ), the construction is relatively straight forward (the only tricky bit is an enclosed yoke facing, but it does give a lovely finish) and you really do end up with a dress that looks like the one on the packet! Its lovely to wear, really comfortable without feeling sack like.
I downloaded the PDF version (also comes as a paper pattern) , & made up a size 20, the pattern goes up to a 22, the fit is generous, and would be easy to grade up. I intend to make a shorter version with short sleeves to wear as a top, this is a pattern you will make up again and again, I highly recommend.
