Buy the Jacinta Chemise sewing pattern from Primrose Dawn. Made with stretch knits, Jacinta is a fun and flirty short nightgown with princess seam cups, adjustable straps, and a flared skirt. Make it in a soft rayon or bamboo stretch jersey for comfy sleepwear, or lace and mesh for a sexier nightie.

Jacinta has partially lined cups to enclose the seams for comfort and added support, with optional underbust elastic for even more support. The pattern includes multiple cup sizes and mini and mid-thigh length options. Style variations include an elastic finish neckline, folded edge neckline in a contrasting fabric, and lace cups. 

For breast cancer survivors (or anyone needing a breast form), mastectomy pocket and flat cup options are included in the pattern.

Suggested fabrics:

Self: Stretch knits with at least 50% stretch and good drape. Rayon/spandex jersey, bamboo/spandex jersey, double brushed poly, stretch mesh, stretch lace.

Lining: Same as self fabrics or stretch mesh. For the optional mastectomy pocket, use a very soft fabric such as bamboo/spandex, rayon/spandex or double brushed poly.

Fabric requirements: 

Sizes 0M-6M: Self, 1 1/2 yd (1.3 m) // Lining, 1/2 yd (0.4 m) // Contrast (Style B), 1/2 yd (0.4 m).

Sizes 5W-12W: Self, 1 5/8 yd (1.5 m) // Lining, 5/8 yd (0.5 m) // Contrast (Style B), 5/8 yd (0.5 m).

Sizing: 0M – 6M and 5W – 12W (approx. UK 8 – 18/20 and UK 18 – 32, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart.

The M size range includes cup sizes A/B, C/D and E/F. The W size range includes cup sizes D/E, F/G and H/I. Instructions to further increase the cup size are included.

Notions: 1/4" (6 mm) picot elastic, 2 yd (1.8 m) for M sizes or 2 5/8 yd (2.4 m) for W sizes; 1/2" (12 mm) strap elastic, 24" (60 cm); two rings and two sliders, 1/2" (12 mm) // Optional: 1/2" (12 mm) picot elastic, 1/2 yd (0.5 m) for M sizes or 3/4 yd (0.7 m) for W sizes // Style C: stretch lace, 1 3/4 yd (1.6 m) for M sizes or 2 yd (1.9 m) for W sizes.
