Lisboa Dress by Orageuse

So Orageuse is a new pattern company for me, I was looking for a chic, party dress pattern I could fit into 1.5m of crepe fabric and using The Foldline's website I found this little beauty - The Lisboa dress and top.

It's a PDF only pattern, so some cutting and sticking is required I'm afraid! (Or an order with the local copyshop!) It's a relaxed fit style dress or top with a soft pleat at the shoulder, little cap sleeves or a longer sleeve option, and two different V-back necklines, a shorter more bra friendly V-back or a deep dramatic option. As this going to be a party dress for my partner's 30th birthday - I went for the deep V-back option!

I cut out the size 36, this ended up pretty true to size and I actually didn't make any adjustments to the pattern whatsoever! It was really quick and easy to sew together and the instructions are great, just enough detail for a sewer that's made a couple of garments before. The diagrams are lovely and clear with all the pattern pieces clearly labelled at every stage.

Lisboa dress and top

The Lisboa pattern comes with two versions - a top and a dress, which are both quite beautiful.
I decided to start by sewing the top and used the pdf-pattern (size 34).
The sewing instructions were easy to understand. I only struggled by understanding the illustration how to insert the cap sleeves, but I finally managed to attach them. I didn't make any alterations and the top fits perfectly.
I can highly recommend the pattern and plan to make the dress - version in summer.
