Bruges Trousers by Orageuse

I totally love the finished product but it was not an easy pattern for a 57 year old American who can't see the teeny tiny print or understand some of the terms that were a bit lost in translation. "Right sides facing" means "right sides together". And be sure to use a 1 cm seam allowance and not our usual 5/8". The fly and pockets are tricky, but overall the directions are clear. I would NOT recommend this for a beginner. Intermediate or advanced sewists only.

No need to fear Bruges

This pattern has helped me get over my fear of making my own trousers, the fly front instructions walk you through the steps and I found it all worked well. I made the version with the side stripe, which is sewn into the side seam so you do need to make sure your fit is correct as you'd notice if you took any fabric in from the side so best to make a toile first..
