Merchant & Mills Swing Top

Buy the Swing Top sewing pattern from Merchant & Mills. The Swing Top is a loose fitting top with dropped shoulders, a henley neck and button placket. It also features a shirttail front and a cropped back, which is gathered into the back yoke. It is shown here with the 101 Trousers, but it also pairs beautifully with the Eve Trousers or Heroine Jeans. This style used to be available in the Merchant & Mills RTW collection - and now you can make your own!

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Lighter weight woven fabrics, linen and linen blends, cotton chambray, Indian handweaves and block prints, tencel and tencel blends. The more structured the fabric the more sculptural your top will look.

Fabric requirements: 110 cm wide fabric: 1.9 - 2.5 m // 120 cm wide fabric: 1.85 - 2.5 m // 140 cm wide fabric: 1.55 - 2 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 1.35 - 1.65 m.

Sizing: XS - L / UK 6 - 18 (approx. UK 6 – 16/18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Please note the sizing is grouped into XS (6), S (8 – 10), M (12 – 14), L (16 -18).

Notions: 4 shirt buttons; 0.3 m of fusible interfacing.
