Merchant & Mills Strand Coat

Buy the Strand Coat sewing pattern from Merchant & Mills. The Strand is a simple unlined coat for cutting a dash in the city. The side seams have been brought to the front and feature a side pocket. The waist seam has an in-seam pocket. The sleeves are set in and sport elbow darts, and the front fastening is created by in-seam hooks and eyes.

Suggested fabrics: Linen, cotton drill, corduroy, seersucker, 8-12 oz. denim, wool.

Fabric requirements:

Self (with or without nap): 120 cm wide fabric: 3 - 3.2 m // 140 cm wide fabric: 2.6 - 2.8 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 2.6 m.

Lining: 0.35 m.

Sizing: UK 8 – 18 (approx. UK 8 – 16/18, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 1.2 m of interfacing; five 1.8 cm hooks and eyes.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (35 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets).
