The 101 Trouser

If you are after some casual, supremely comfortable trousers - look no further. The pattern comes with separate printed variations for the wider trousers or the tapered leg (saving you time on tracing). I made the trousers in a couple of hours, which includes cutting out the paper pattern, laying out and cutting the fabric to the completely finished garment.
I used pure linen fabric, which has a lovely handle and drape. These actually feel like pyjamas - but are understated and stylish enough to wear during the day. In fact, pyjama trousers could be made using this pattern, perhaps in a cotton lawn (next sewing project idea right there).
In terms of fit, the rise is long enough for the waistband to be worn on the natural waist (bear this in mind if you like your trousers to sit on your hips - in which case the rise may be too long).
This pattern was exactly what I was looking for, and I will definitely be making these again.
