Buy the M8541 Vintage 1980's Jackets sewing pattern from McCalls. It’s perfect for an intermediate dressmaker. Vintage McCall’s 1980’s jackets sewing pattern. Lined, fitted jackets have shaped seaming, full-length sleeves with gathered cap. Jacket A with standing collar and B with braid trim have unpressed pleats with insets and buttoned front closing. Jacket C with reverse and decorative flaps and D with notched collar and to-stitch trim have peplum and purchased frog closures. Authentic 80s vintage reproduction.

Suggested fabrics: Cotton, Cotton Blends, Flannel, Lightweight Corduroy, Linen, Velveteen, Wool Blends. Not suitable for diagonals, checks, stripes or plaids. Lining: Lining Fabric. Interfacing: Lightweight Fusible.
Note: Extra fabric maybe needed to match plaids, stripes, one-way designs fabrics or shrinkage.
Sizing: A (6-8-10-12-14-16) which is approx. UK sizes A (4 – 14). based on our standardised size chart . Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Thread. Jacket A or B: Five 5/8" (1.5cm) buttons, seam binding or stretch lace (opt.). Also for Jacket B: 2 3/4 yds. (2.5m) of 5/8" (1.5cm) braid. Jacket C or D: Three 3" (8cm) frog closures.
