Buy the Raida Blouse sewing pattern from Madswick. The Raida Blouse has a circular yoke, with an optional ruffle, and a billowy bodice. The sleeves are designed to hit either above the elbow or wrist, and feature three pintucks, gathers, and a bound sleeve hem. The pattern has three view options and two hem lengths.

View A has a collar stand and front button placket. View B has a collar stand and button closure at the back neckline. View C has a ruffled collar, gathered yoke, and button closure at the back neckline.

Note: A dress version of this pattern is available here.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: Some of the pattern pieces are divided across two A0 sheets. The two sheets will need to be joined.

Suggested fabrics: Light to mid-weight (2-5 oz.) woven fabrics. Choose a fabric such as linen, cotton lawn, cotton poplin, cotton sateen, lyocell, shirting, viscose crepe, or viscose-linen-noil. Note that heavier weight fabrics will make View C more difficult to gather. Heavier weight fabrics may also make it hard to sew buttonholes on View A. This pattern is perfect for old bed sheets.

Fabric requirements: You may need more fabric if you choose to use a directional or graphic print in order to pattern match.

View A: 44" (112 cm) wide fabric: 3 - 4 yd (2.75 - 3.7 m) // 56" (142 cm) wide fabric: 2.75 - 3.3 yd (2.5 - 3 m).

View B: 44" (112 cm) wide fabric: 3 - 4 yd (2.75 - 3.7 m) // 56" (142 cm) wide fabric: 2.75 - 3.3 yd (2.5 - 3 m).

View C: 44" (112 cm) wide fabric: 3.5 - 4.8 yd (3.2 - 4.4 m) // 56" (142 cm) wide fabric: 3.3 - 3.9 yd (3 - 3.5 m).

Sizing: 1 – 13 (approx. UK 6/8 – 30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern is drafted for a B/C cup and a 5'6" (1.6 m) height. Due to the gathers in the front and back (replacing darts) and generous ease, it should fit a larger cup size comfortably without a FBA.

Notions: 0.25 yd/m of lightweight interfacing // View A: six or seven buttons, 0.5" (1.3 cm) or smaller // Views B and C: one button, any size. Note you may need more or fewer buttons if you choose to change the button spacing on View A.

PDF pattern includes: Instructions; A4 print-at-home pattern (36 pages); US letter print-at-home pattern (42 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.
