Suggested fabrics: Medium to lightweight fabrics such as upholstery fabric, cotton home decorating fabric, quilting cottons, linen, or wool.

Fabric requirements:

3/4 yd (0.7 m) of 44" (112 cm) wide medium-weight fabric for the exterior (body) of the bag (allow extra fabric for matching or centring a pattern).

1/2 yd (0.5 m) of 44" (112 cm) wide medium-weight fabric for the straps and inside patch pocket (straps are cut on the cross grain; for directional fabrics, buy 1 yd/0.9 m and cut the straps on the long grain).

3/4 yd (0.7 m) of 44" (112 cm) wide light to medium-weight fabric.

1/2 yd (0.5 m) of 60" (152 cm) wide cotton canvas.

Sizing: One size. The body of the bag measures 13.5" tall (without the straps), 12" wide, and 2" deep.

Notions: Coordinating thread (one colour to match each of your fabrics); 1 1/2 yd (1.4 m) heavy sew-in interfacing (or 1/2 yd/0.5 m if using heavy-weight fabric for the exterior); two 1 1/4" - 1 3/4" O-rings; one magnetic snap; four small rivets; one 7" zipper; one 1" - 1 1/2" button; small scrap of lightweight fusible interfacing (approx. 2" x 9"). Note: A walking foot is strongly recommended due to the number of fabric layers.

PDF pattern includes: Illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (23 pages); 36″ wide copy shop pattern (1 sheet). Does not include an A0 copy shop file.
