Bistro dress of beauty

This is one of those understated dresses but is just fab. Loose yet looks fitted. It has clever details like back shoulder dart (yeh) , fish eye darts from and back and ‘sash ‘ ( belt really) to nip it in at the waist.

This version is linen look cotton from John Lewis- an impulse purchase that I’m very pleased with. I used 1.7m of 150cm wide for size 6. ( one size down from recommended) . I added a kick pleat at the back and my belt is shorter. And I added in seam pockets.

I made the collar version but omitted the interfacing ( last time I did interface the collar but it’s not necessary)

i also moved the zip to be a back zip- personal preference.

I might wear it out once or twice but ultimately this is for work and it’ll get a lot of wear.

Great pattern- just what’s expected of Liesl patterns.
