Itch to Stitch Vikos Top and Dress

Buy the Vikos Top and Dress sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. This top or knee-length dress has a relaxed fit and pulls on easily with no need for buttons or a zip. The split neckline is finished with a facing and there are three sleeve variations: short, 3/4 length with a split cuff, and 3/4 length with a buttoned tab. The dress version has optional in-seam pockets. This is a timeless pattern you'll love to sew and wear!

Note if purchasing copy shop printing for sizes 16-40: One of the pattern pieces has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Use light- to medium-weight woven fabrics such as rayon/viscose challis, rayon/viscose twill, chambray, linen, lightweight flannel, and broadcloth. Keep in mind that more structured fabrics will create a boxier silhouette, while fluid fabrics will drape and contour over the curves of the body. Note that the wrong side of the fabric will be visible with the sleeve with buttoned tab option, so choose your fabric accordingly.

Fabric requirements: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: Dress (before adding sleeves), 1 5/8 - 2 5/8 yd (140 - 240 cm) // Top (before adding sleeves), 1 1/8 - 1 3/4 yd (100 - 160 cm) // Short sleeves, add 1/4 - 3/8 yd (30 - 40 cm) // 3/4 sleeves with buttoned tabs, add 1/2 - 5/8 yd (50 cm) // 3/4 sleeves with split cuffs, add 5/8 - 3/4 yd (60 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sizes 00-20 have A, B, C, D and DD cups. Sizes 22-40 have B, C, D and DD cups.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1" (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2" (5 cm), use B cup; 3" (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4" (10 cm), use D cup; 5" (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: Lightweight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing // In-seam pocket option (dress only): 3/4 yd (70 cm) of 1/2" (1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or cut your own from lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain) // Sleeve with buttoned tab option: two 1/2" (12 mm) buttons.
