Buy the Nottingham Top sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. The Nottingham gives the ordinary top a twist, literally! Featuring a twisted knot in the front, Nottingham has a relaxed fit bodice with three sleeve options: long sleeve, elbow short sleeve, or butterfly sleeve. It's a super comfy, casual knit top that looks fabulous with pants or a skirt.

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

- PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?

- PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you'll need to download the digital instructions, as we don't print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?

Suggested fabrics: Use a light to medium weight knit fabric with at least 75% vertical and horizontal stretch. Fabric with good drape, such as one with rayon or bamboo content, is ideal. Note that the wrong side of the fabric could peek out below the knot and also in the butterfly sleeve, so use fabric that has a wrong side with a similar colour to the right side.

Fabric requirements: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: Long sleeve, 1 1/2 - 2 3/8 yd (130 - 220 cm) // Elbow short sleeve, 1 1/8 - 2 3/8 yd (100 - 210 cm) // Butterfly sleeve, 1 3/8 - 2 1/4 yd (120 - 210 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 20 (approx. UK 6/8 – 20/22). Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: 10" (25 cm) of 3/8" or 1/2" (1 cm or 1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain).

PDF pattern includes: Step-by-step illustrated instructions; US letter/A4 print-at-home pattern (33 pages); A0 copy shop pattern (2 sheets) // Layers: Yes // Projector file: No.

Nottingham Top PDF review

I love this knotted hem tee from Itch to Stitch. No harder to sew than a regular tee – the hem looks so much more difficult than it is – and with different sleeve options this top will take you through all the seasons! You can drop by my blog for more photos and a more in-depth review of the pattern!
