Itch to Stitch Mariz Top

Buy the Mariz Top sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. Designed with everyday versatility in mind, it combines the comfort of a classic knit tee with subtle design details that make it stand out. The raglan sleeves offer a relaxed, easy fit, while delicate gathers at the front and back add just the right touch of interest. There are two neckline options: a round neck with a neck band, or a round split neck finished with binding. There are also three sleeve lengths to choose from: short, medium-short, and long. With so many options, Mariz is easy to customise and style with just about anything in your wardrobe.

Suggested fabrics: Use a light to medium weight knit fabric such as jersey, viscose or rayon French terry, or interlock. Ensure the fabric contains elastane or spandex for good recovery and provides at least 50% horizontal stretch.

Fabric requirements: 

Long sleeve top: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/4 - 2 1/2 yd (120 - 230 cm).

Medium-short sleeve top: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/8 - 2 1/4 yd (100 - 200 cm).

Short sleeve top: 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 1/8 - 2 1/8 yd (100 - 190 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 with regular and full bust options (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

A note from the designer about bust options: To determine if you should use the regular bust front pieces or the full bust front pieces, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 3" (7.5 cm) or less, use the regular bust. If the rounded difference is more than 3" (7.5 cm), use the full bust.

Notions: 40" (100 cm) of 1/2" (1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain).
