Buy the Delaware Jacket sewing pattern from Itch to Stitch. This unlined jacket is ideal for the transitional seasons of spring and autumn. Delaware features an elegant stand-up collar, centre front exposed zipper closure, cinched waist with an internal drawstring, two-piece set-in sleeves with cuffs and sleeve vents, and optional front pockets with flaps. The pattern also includes cup size options for a perfect fit!

Suggested fabrics: Use light to medium woven fabric such as twill, broadcloth and linen.

Fabric requirements: 44" (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 1/8 - 3 1/8 yd (190 - 290 cm) // 54" (135 cm) wide fabric: 1 5/8 - 2 3/4 yd (150 - 250 cm).

Sizing: US 00 – 40 (approx. UK 6/8 – 34/36, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Sizes 00-20 have A, B, C, D and DD cups. Sizes 22-40 have B, C, D and DD cups.

A note from the designer about bust cup options: To determine your cup size, subtract the circumference of your over bust from the circumference of the fullest part of your bust. If the rounded difference is 1″ (2.5 cm), use A cup; 2″ (5 cm), use B cup; 3″ (7.5 cm), use C cup; 4″ (10 cm), use D cup; 5″ (12.5 cm), use DD cup.

Notions: Lightweight fusible woven or weft insertion interfacing; two 1/2" (12 mm) buttons for the cuffs; 2 yd/m of 1/2" (1.25 cm)-wide straight fusible stay tape (or you may cut your own using lightweight woven fusible interfacing on the straight grain); one 3/8" (1 cm)-wide flat drawstring cord OR one 1/4" (6 mm)-wide round drawstring cord as long as your waist plus 12" (30 cm); one moulded plastic or metal separating zipper (see chart) // Optional: one 1/2" (12 mm) button for each optional pocket; two 1/4" (6 mm) (inside diameter) grommets/eyelets (with corresponding tool for installation) for the waist drawstring; two drawstring stoppers for the waist drawstring; two drawstring end caps for the waist drawstring; a small safety pin.
