Buy the Darlow Pants sewing pattern from In the Folds. The Darlow Pants are a cropped, tapered pant full of interesting panel lines and details. They have been designed to give a new spin to the classic pant and can be worn as an easy and casual option or dressed up for an evening out.
The pants sit on the natural waist and feature a fly front with zip closure, shaped waistband, in-seam pockets, back pockets and hem facings. The Darlow Pants are designed to be quite fitted through the waist and hip, before more volume is added through the leg, for an interesting shape.
View A has slightly more volume through the leg than View B, and features patch pockets, while View B has back welt pockets. Both have a number of interesting panel lines that create a unique shape and an interesting sewing experience. Some of the photographs have the panel lines drawn on, so that you can get a better idea of how the panel lines work on the body.

Suggested fabrics: Mid to heavy weight woven fabrics. Consider using linen, linen blends, cotton drill/twill, denim or wool. For a softer, more dressy silhouette, consider using midweight silk or similar. Keep in mind that View A has more volume in the thigh/knee area and you may want to use mid-weight fabric (rather than heavy weight fabric) for this reason.
Fabric requirements:
View A: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 2.4 - 3 m (2.7 - 3.3 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 1.8 - 2.3 m (2 - 2.5 yd).
View B: 115 cm (45") wide fabric: 2.4 - 2.8 m (2.7 - 3.1 yd) // 150 cm (60") wide fabric: 2 - 2.3 m (2.2 - 2.5 yd).
Sizing: A - J (approx. UK 6 - 28). Please check the size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Coordinating thread; one 15 cm (6") trouser zip (use a standard dress zip if you are using lightweight fabric); one 20 mm (3/4") button; two medium pant hooks (no wider than 12 mm/1/2"); 0.5 m (0.5 yd) of light to mid-weight fusible interfacing (depending on your fabric choice) // Optional: 1 m (1.1 yd) of 32 mm (1 1/4") single-fold bias tape for inner waistband.
PDF includes: Instructions; A4/US letter print-at-home pattern (58 pages - a printing plan is included so you can choose to print only the pages you need for your choice of style and size); A0 copy shop pattern (3 sheets - due to the scale of the front leg piece, 2 sheets will need to be taped together).
